Randolph County Senior Games
Senior Games is a health and wellness promotion and education program for adults age 50 and older. RCSG is sanctioned by the North Carolina Senior Games, Inc. which began in 1983 with the vision to create a year round health promotion and education program for adults 55 years of age and better. NCSG, Inc. is sponsored statewide by the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services. Randolph County is one of 54 Local Games that serve all 100 counties across the state.
Each spring, held over a two week period every May, individuals compete in friendly competition for awards in their own gender and age category within five year age increments (50-54*, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, and 100+). Your age on December 31, 2011 will determine the category that you will compete in. *Those 55 and older who qualify, and choose to participate, are invited to attend STATE FINALS each fall in Raleigh.
Participants can choose form over 40 athletic events! You do not need to be an athlete, because the main goal of the Senior Games program is to promote "Fun, Fitness, and Fellowship" The North Carolina Senior Games, Inc.
